My first impressions of this paper weren't good. What ever I did with it I couldn't stop it cockling. I came to the conclusion that the only way round the problem was to stretch it, so I bought myself a paper stretcher.
I soaked the paper for a good 10 minutes before mounting it on the stretcher then left it overnight. Unfortunately this only part worked and the paper still cockled slightly when wet.
Then I chose a different approach. I decided to use Inktense pencils dry before going over it with water. The result was very nice. The paint flowed well and was easy to lift from its surface. The finish was crisp and clean without a sign of cockling.
In the end I thought the final product looked very good but It did take some work to get it right.
Also half the price of thicker papers but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners.
